Jake uses big data to tackle big social problems. As the founder of DataKind, he connects—and acts as an accessible bridge between—data scientists and not-for-profit companies, which often don’t have the know-how or resources to benefit from data analysis. A former New York Times Data Scientist, Porway wants all of humanity to benefit from the gains of big data.
With DataKind, "We're connecting nonprofits, NGOs, and other data-rich social change organizations with data scientists willing to donate their time and knowledge to solve social, environmental, and community problems," Porway explains.
Irrepressibly curious, Porway is both a scientist and a coder, equally excited to pioneer the next machine learning algorithm as his is to optimize the code to run it. He hopes to make machines smarter—and he looks for new ways to help machines make sense of things, for the greater good.
R "Ray" Wang
Principal Analyst, Founder, and Chairman of Silicon Valley based Constellation Research, Inc.
In addition to his role at Constellation Research, Ray is also the author of the popular business strategy and technology blog "A Software Insider’s Point of View". With viewership in the 10's of millions of page views a year, his blog provides insight into how disruptive technologies and new business models such as digital transformation impact brands, enterprises, and organizations. Wang has held executive roles in product, marketing, strategy, and consulting at companies such as Forrester Research, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, and Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Director, Global Data Insight & Analytics, Ford Motor Company
Mr. Jacobson earned his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a Master’s degree at Virginia Tech as an IBM Fellowship recipient. His career with Ford Motor Company began in 1991, and he has been instrumental in delivering a number of product programs to market including F-Series, Expedition, Navigator, and Taurus and has been awarded U.S. patents in safety systems and tooling technologies.
Mr. Jacobson had been recognized by the Automotive Hall of Fame as the Young Leadership & Excellence award recipient, the Engineering Society of Detroit as the Young Engineer of the Year, and the National Academy of Engineering, through their Frontiers program.
Currently building Ford’s new Data Science team at Ford Motor Company, he works across all areas of the business supporting key analytic endeavors.

BI & Analytics manager for IKEA Range & Supply
Monica is BI & Analytics manager within Business Steering function at IKEA Range & Supply, one of three core-areas within the Inter-IKEA Group, which has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply the IKEA stores with home furnishing solutions globally.
She has worked for IKEA many years and has seen a big change in how IKEA is focusing on fact-based decision making and analytics, and providing co-workers with information and tools to do so.
She has worked in many different functions within IKEA, with the latest years focused on Business Intelligence and developing the BI and analytics platform for Range & Supply. She has also been instrumental in the selection of BI tools and the deployment of Qlik as a platform for analytics and data discovery throughout IKEA Range & Supply, by that providing a sound base for fact-based decision making and trusted analytics and reporting.

UN Peacekeeping Powered by Qlik
Lars Bjork, CEO, will explain the partnership Qlik has with the United Nations to become better stewards of data to impact positive change. He will be joined by representatives from the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations and Field Support who will announce Qonnections Hackathon winners of the challenge to create a Qlik Sense app for UN stakeholder conflict analysis and predictive regional modeling. They will then discuss key applications for data analysis around peacekeeping, diplomacy, gender equality and humanitarian development that they use to update the UN Security Council.

Lars Björk leads Qlik as CEO and is a member of the company’s board of directors. He oversaw the company’s initial public offering (IPO) in 2010 on the NASDAQ, which was recognized as one of the year’s top tech IPOs.
Lars is recognized as an authority on driving company culture through an accessible management style, with articles appearing in the New York Times, Forbes and Harvard Business Review, as well as speaking engagements at conferences including the CEO2CEO Leadership Summit. He was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the technology category and was named Technology CEO of the Year at the 2015 PACT Annual Enterprise Awards. More recently, he was nominated to participate in Startup America, a White House initiative to accelerate high-growth entrepreneurship, and the Clinton Global Initiative, an organization that brings together leaders to drive action on global challenges.
